The Rise Forward Sensory Needs Assessment is an educationally focused evaluation designed to help families better understand how a child’s sensory processing impacts their learning environment and daily routines.

This assessment provides guidance and recommendations to support success in home-based, homeschool, and educational settings.

They do not diagnose conditions, provide treatment, or replace occupational therapy, medical care, or other clinical services. Instead, they focus on understanding patterns that influence learning and daily participation and offering recommendations to support those areas.

Assessments are scheduled in advance and completed through a parent-focused interview, either virtually or in person. Intake forms are completed prior to the appointment, and families receive a written summary with recommendations after the assessment is complete.
